Andara Phuket Wedding - Jane and Tim

Savour Events

Last week I was asked to Photograph an event that is right up my alley. A foodies event. Savour Events from Singapore brought out Andrea Berton to cook for a lucky few. Andrea is famed for the  Michelin-starred Restaurant Trussardi alla Scala.

The Event was held at the The Reflexions room in Bangkok and what a fantastic venue.

The food was also fantastic and styled with true Italian touches.

Massive thankyou to Helke Vijsma for helping out with the images.

BOOM Bike Tours

BOOM Bike Tours

I was invited by a bike tour company to come and sample their ride and take some images.

So we met up D'Pelican restaurant and had a great coffee while the BOOM team swung into action to sort us out with some fantastic bikes and helmets.

Kik (our Guide) introduced herself then told us what to expect from the day. We all left D'Pelican on a high from caffeine and the promise of adventure to come.

Kik guided us through the back streets pointing out places and sights of interest and showing me a side of Bangkok that I hadn't seen in 2 years of living here.

We had so much fun heading towards Klong Toey Markets. Even got a bit pace up.

I was surprised at how Kik kept the pace just right for everyone in the group.

We made it through the markets and met on the wharf but a long tail boat and it was loaded in no time set for the Bangkok lungs.

As we made our way across the river Kik was quick to point out some of the sites.

It's amazing that when the trees are all around and the air is clean the temp drops by a few degrees and the breeze is cool. This was turning out to be a great day.

Some of the sights just come out of the trees and are really quite stunning.

Lunch was a welcome site and what a treat to be giving authentic Pad Thai. If you are ever over there let Ran Kaew cook for you.

The cook and owner

Lunch was something to jump up and down about. So recharged we head to explore some more.

Kik led us to this amazing place called the Bangkok Tree House which has rooms and a cool restaurant.

A happy crew.
I have to give my biggest thanks to Joey, Kik and the other guys on the tour for such a great day.
I can recommend doing this tour as a first time tourist or even a resident of Bangkok.

James King

As I have said before I spend time looking at other photographers and their websites. Today I came accross a really well desinged site thats images are as diverse as they are plentiful.
The web site carries some of the sharpest, colourful and well composed images that you will almost ever see.
The site belongs to James King and as you be able to see by his listing of achivements and awards that James is more than capable of filling any photographic needs you might have. So if you are in the Chelmsford area in the U.K. look him up, you won't be disapointed.

Today I was walking through the center of Bangkok and Taking in all the sights and smells of this amazing city. The city relies a number of transport modes. Two of these are my favorite ways to get around motobikes and Tuk Tuks. But what do these guys do while just waiting for the next fare? I went to find out.

Sarah's web site

Hey Guys,

I have been looking at other photographers websites and and have found some great ones that over the next few weeks I will be telling everyone about them.
Most of these Photographers are not big names or have celebrity clients but, they are people who capture emotions and significant life events.

This week I have had the pleasure of looking at Sarah Wayte's photography website and I have to say WOW. Sarah has a passion for her photography and it shows. Her gallery page shows her diverse ability.

I was really impressed with her ability to capture the emotion in the moment and the clever use of negative space. Her nature gallery has been done with a beautiful depth of field and use of light.

What a great site to have a look around.
